I was fortunate enough to arrive in Osaka just a couple of days before they began renovation on the city's most well-known sign, the Glico man.
I believe this incarnation has been around for decades or so.
When they were working on it they covered it with a tarp featuring a lady runner. I like it!
And now he's back! This time, in LED form. Not only does it allow for more effects, but it is also more energy efficient.
